Ashmira Botanica sets sights on EMEA expansion
Ashmira Botanica, a spa and beauty brand based in Britain, has announced its ambitions to expand in the EMEA region through new spa partnerships.
The brand’s core concept is rooted in the ancient philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which focuses on the Five Elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Each customer’s journey is personalised by therapists who tailor treatments based on the client’s biorhythm (year of birth), skincare concerns, emotions, and the season.
Currently, Ashmira Botanica collaborates with various spas worldwide. In the UK, its spa partners include urban establishments such as Harrods, Spa Experience and The Chuan Spa at The Langham, as well as country wellness retreats like Lucknam Park and Middlewick Spa. The brand is also set to launch soon at Eastwell Manor.
In addition, Ashmira Botanica has established a presence in the Middle East through its partnership with The Ritz-Carlton in Bahrain.
In an exclusive interview with Spa Business, brand founder Tracey Smith expressed her desire to broaden the company’s reach in the EMEA region.
Soothing sound therapy
The brand’s newest launch is the 90-minute Sonic Energy Treatment designed to harmonise mind, body and spirit through soothing sounds, vibrations, a full-body mask and energetic healing.
During the ritual, the body is enveloped in non-setting pink clay blended with Yin essential oils, then soothed with tuning forks. Next, a massage with warmed Tibetan Sound Bowls and a Chinese Body Massage to stimulate meridians and release stagnant energy for both physical and emotional wellbeing.
The treatment concludes with a skin cleanse using warm towels and therapists bathing guests in the sounds of a Kenari seed shaker.
Smith developed the experience – which marks the brand’s sixth professional wellness treatment – in collaboration with her daughter and established sound healing practitioner Harriet Emily who has curated music to accompany the ritual.
In other news, Ashmira Botanica has repackaged its collection of vegan cleansing oils, creamy non-setting clays, balms and elixirs. Incorporating plant extracts, essential oils and clays, all are formulated in the UK in small batches to minimise their ecological footprint.
Formulas feature clay, rice, aloe vera and essential oils to soothe the skin and balance Yin and Yang energies.
