A new £8m swimming pool and leisure complex in Tipton, Sandwell is set to launch at the end of March.
Led by Hertfordshire-based construction group Willmott Dixon, Tipton Leisure Centre occupies a vacant site at the corner of Alexandra Road and Thursfield Road in Tipton.
Facilities at the centre include a 25m, six-lane swimming pool, 12.5m teaching pool, gym and fitness classes and dance studio.
The centre, which was designed by Sandwell Urban Design Architects, the council's in-house service, will be managed by Sandwell Leisure Trust.
Paul Slater, CEO for Sandwell Leisure Trust, said: "We are delighted that we are managing the newest leisure facility for Sandwell and look forward to it being a popular health and fitness hub for the local community.
"This is an important milestone for SLT and Sandwell in continuing to provide excellent sport and leisure facilities for the borough to enjoy."
