£5m Selby Leisure Village to feature feast of active pursuits
Work is underway on a £5m Selby Leisure Village project in North Yorkshire, which will see a veritable treasure chest of active leisure options offered next to the new Selby Leisure Centre.
Selby Leisure Village will feature will feature boutique ten-pin bowling, a VerTGo adventure climbing facility, an adventure play zone, aerial trekking, an indoor ski simulator, plus an indoor skate and BMX park. The development will also see the introduction of an outdoor skate and BMX park following consultations with local skate park users.
Alliance Leisure is developing the project on behalf of Selby District Council, with lead constructor ISG working to designs from architects Bradshaw Gass and Hope. Expected to open next year, the site will be operated by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust (WLCT).
"This project truly demonstrates the capabilities of Alliance in bringing together a scheme of this magnitude,” said Alliance Leisure CEO Sarah Watts.
“Working with our construction partners at ISG and with our leading solutions providers, we are excited to deliver Selby Leisure Village on behalf of such forward thinking clients in both Selby District Council and WLCT.”
