£25m Arun 'leisure blueprint' to be considered
Senior members of Arun District Council (ADC) will consider a £25m "blueprint" for the future leisure and cultural facilities and services at a meeting due to be held on 16 January.
The local authority's cabinet are to be presented with the strategy - Planning for Culture and Leisure in Arun to 2028 - by consultants Colliers International.
Cabinet members will be asked to commission a delivery programme for the implementation of the strategy, with a maximum of £20,000 to be allocated from its revenue budgets.
The strategy has put forward suggestions for raising capital that would go towards schemes to improve local facilities, which include private investment and the disposal of assets.
Once capital is secured, projects may include a revamp of Arun Leisure Centre; a new-build swimming pool and gym at Littlehampton Academy; and a cinema at the Regis Centre site.
