£15m Malaysian spa village
YTL Hotels and Properties (YTL H&P), the hospitality sector of the YTL Corporation, is opening a new spa village at the Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia.
Situated on the west coast of Malaysia, the Pangkor Laut Spa Village will feature 22 villas and eight treatment rooms. There will be healing huts that include a Chinese herbal shop, a wrap house, yoga pavilion and ayurvedic huts as well as a private beach, restaurant and boutique.
The village will add to the gym, spa, two pools, squash and tennis courts and massage therapy centre already at the 126-villa private island resort.
The spa's treatments will be based on eastern healing practices, and will include Chinese foot pounding, a Malay circulating bath, a Shanghai bath or Japanese goshi goshi cleansing. Spa packages, including accommodation and meals and based around rejuvenation, beauty and slimming or relaxation and stress reduction will be on offer.
Pangkor Laut Spa Village is YTL H&P's second spa, and draws inspiration from the Tanjong Jara Resort on Malaysia's east coast. The village is scheduled to open in April next year.
