Xponential Fitness announces four big hires
Boutique franchisor, Xponential Fitness has bolstered its senior leadership team with four new appointments, following the departure of key personnel last year.
Eric Simon has joined in the newly created role of chief development officer to drive franchise sales. Prior to this, he was senior VP of franchise sales and development at The Joint Chiropractic.
Last week saw John Kawaja promoted to president of North America and Tim Weiderhoft joined as COO of North America, alongside Kevin Beygi as CTO.
“Welcoming these accomplished leaders marks another key milestone in the company’s evolution,” said Mark King, CEO of Xponential Fitness. “They will play vital roles in transforming our culture, facilitating profitable growth and positioning the company to become the global franchisor of choice in health and wellness.”
Prior to joining Xponential, Kawaja was president at TaylorMade Golf Company and head of marketing for North America at Adidas Group.
Weiderhoft has senior experience in franchising at Massage Envy and Central Bark USA, as well as being former CEO at Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade.
Beygi comes from Microsoft Corporation, where he was director of data analytics, enablement and operations. He has also held senior advisory roles with The Walt Disney Company and Total Energies.
Former CEO of Taco Bell, Mark King, took over as CEO last year following the suspension of Anthony Geisler. John Kersh also left earlier last year to go to Crunch Fitness and president, Sarah Luna, left abruptly before Christmas.
One of the bigger global franchisors of health and fitness brands, with franchise and master franchise agreements in 49 US states and 27 other countriesand brands including Club Pilates, Stretch Lab and Cyclebar and BFT, Xponential Fitness is pushing its international expansion into new markets.
The first Pure Barre opens in Mexico City this quarter under Boutique X Fitness Studios, led by Enrique López. His team is already working with Xponential to bring StretchLab and Rumble to Mexico.

A master franchise agreement has also been signed with Riser Fitness to launch at least 65 Club Pilates studios in Mexico over the next 10 years.
Rumble Boxing has opened its first studio in Japan under Wellness X Asia, which introduced Club Pilates to the Japanese market in 2019 and now has 55 studios, as well as one CycleBar studio.
