Xercise4less to open new Leeds club
Low-cost fitness operator Xercise4less has confirmed plans to open its fourth club in Leeds early next year, which will occupy a 40,000sq ft (3,716sq m) site on Kirkstall Road.
Joining the group's existing gyms in Wakefield, Castleford and Stockton-on-Tees, the club will be one of the largest fitness facilities in Leeds with capacity for up to 400 people.
More than 300 pieces of Matrix equipment will be on offer at the Kirkstall Industrial Estate location, with the gym 'zoned' for different areas such as cardiovascular and weights training.
A combat zone; a women's only area; and additional space for personal training sessions and spin classes are also planned as part of the new Xercise4less club.
Meanwhile, up to 80 jobs will be created as part of the opening and the Leeds club is also set to accommodate the group's head office, which is relocating from Wakefield.
Xercise4less managing director Jon Wright said: "Our previous sites have launched so well and we will roll out the same model for our Leeds site, which is based on charging as little as possible, not as much as we can get away with.
"In these times of austerity, we feel we are providing an excellent facility with unbeatable customer service, all at a very affordable price."
A launch event is scheduled to take place in February.
