Women only floor for the London Hilton
London's Hilton on Park Lane hotel is launching an entire floor specifically for lone women guests.
Commencing at the end of the month, the 22nd floor of the hotel will offer enhanced security including private check-in, double locks on bedroom doors, increased security cameras and discretion when room keys are issued.
Elsewhere, bedrooms are being redesigned with more floral furnishings and will provide additional toiletries, more powerful hairdryers and improvements to make-up mirrors and lighting. A range of magazines to replace the conventional reading material on offer will also be provided.
Additionally, since many of the hotel's female guests prefer to dine in their room, the hotel is complementing its room service menu with a number of healthy options choices.
The Park Lane Hilton has approximately 10,000 single female guests a year, a figure which has doubled over the past 10 years and which the Hilton group anticipates will increase by up to a further five per cent internationally next year.
Gianni Riatsch, London Hilton on Park Lane general manager, said: We want female travellers who have concerns about travelling alone to feel safe, comfortable and discreetly cared for. Details: www.london-parklane.hilton.com
