West Oxford revamps fitness sites
West Oxfordshire District Council is investing £400,000 to refurbish three of its leisure centres with new fitness equipment.
The Chipping Norton, Carterton and Windrush Leisure Centre will each receive a range of cardiovascular and strength equipment from Life Fitness.
As part of the deal, Life Fitness will also fit out of the new dual use facility at Bartholomew School in Eynsham, which is currently under construction and due for completion in August.
Martin Holland, leisure development manager for West Oxfordshire District Council, says: “The contract has been awarded to Life Fitness following a European tender exercise.
One of the key strengths of the Life Fitness bid is the extensive package of support, which includes maintenance, staff training and marketing.
This, coupled with an excellent equipment offer, represented best value for the council.”
