Leisure centre operator Everyone Active has formed a partnership with WW (formerly called Weight Watchers), which will see the two combining their exercise and dietary services.

The deal will result in both WW and Everyone Active members being offered "substantial savings" on the use of the myWW+ app and membership rates at all Everyone Active leisure centres. The myWW+ app allows users to manage their weight, monitor their hydration and sleep and offers tips on mental health and healthy food choices.

Members will be offered special discounts on a number of other activities and services too, such as personalised nutrition plans, 24/7 live coaching, access to the "Headspace" meditation app and to the Everyone On Demand online fitness platform.

WW will also host weekly workshops at a number of Everyone Active centres, with attendees set to benefit from special activity sessions delivered by the Everyone Active fitness team.

Duncan Jefford, regional director at Everyone Active, said: “The myWW+ and Everyone Active partnership is important because it closes the loop between diet, fitness and mental health.

"It is a complete solution to anyone going through fitness or weight challenges and has struggled to get results.

"We have fantastic member success rates and to offer that service paired with the world’s greatest wellness brand is a first for everyone who wants to get on top of their mental and physical health this year.”

The deal was signed following research by WW, which suggested that 41 per cent of Brits admitted to a weight increase during the pandemic – with 65 per cent of those gaining half a stone or more.

Anna Hill, GM of WW UK, said: “The challenges of the pandemic weigh heavy on the nation. It has been a tough time for all.

"Our latest app myWW+ is a huge technological advancement for us and is something our members greatly benefit from at a time when our health is more important than ever before, and we’re thrilled to extend this benefit to Everyone Active members."

Weight Watchers rebranded as WW in 2018.
