Vantis Annual Hospitality and Leisure Seminar
The BHA are pleased to invite members to the Vantis annual Hospitality and Leisure Seminar.
This year the event takes place on Tuesday, 28 April 2009 from 9.30am - 12.30pm at The Commonwealth Club, 25 Northumberland Avenue, London, WC2N 5AP. The morning will provide members with an informative and entertaining review of the sector and will explore the key issues currently affecting members.
BHA Chief Executive Bob Cotton will open the event with an overview of the industry. Following this, Jodie Sinclair, head of the employment law team at Bevan Brittan, will provide an update on employment law and outline how proposed changes in this area may affect business.
Despite the current market conditions, the 2012 Olympic Games and associated development of London's leisure sector could offer a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. A business specialist will outline the potential planning opportunities available for the hospitality and leisure sector.
Vantis expert Peter Davies will offer insight on the latest tax and VAT developments and Cyrus Todiwala MBE DL, Proprietor and Executive Chef of Café Spice Namaste restaurant group will close the morning with his personal story on starting and building up a business. He will also explore whether the ethnic community is dealing with today's business issues differently and what the wider sector could learn from this approach.
The morning will end at 11.40 with brunch and registration starts at 9.00am. To book your place please visit the Vantis website.
