US$350m Pinnacle casino resort planned for Vegas
Pinnacle Entertainment plans to develop a US$350m (£192m, 279m euro) casino resort in Lake Charles, Las Vegas, US.
The Sugarcane Bay resort will feature a 400-bedroom hotel, a tropical swimming pool, an island spa, restaurants and retail outlets surrounding a single-level riverboat casino.
The riverboat casino will comprise a poker room, table games and around 1,500 slot machines subject to approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.
Construction is expected to begin in August, with completion planned for 2009.
The new resort will be connected to the existing L’Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino property, which is also set to expand – a further 1,000 guest rooms will be added by 2007.
Pinnacle Entertainment owns and operates casinos in Nevada, Louisiana, Indiana, Argentina and the Bahamas.
