UKinbound awards announced
Tourism trade body UKinbound has announced the winners of its annual awards scheme.
Voted for by UKinbound members, awards were introduced for the first time this year for each UKinbound member category, as well as a special Individual personal achievement award. Tour operator of the year was London-based Angela Shanley Associates, while accommodation of the year was named as Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill. Hampton Court Palace, operated by Historic Royal Palaces, was voted attraction of the year.
Visit Kent, the county's official tourism website, won the award for destination marketing company of the year; service planner of the year was Itinerary Planner of London; and the individual personal achievement award went to John Boon, european membership manager of the European Tour Operators' Association. Presenting the awards at its Convention Gala Dinner, UKinbound chair Rita Beckwith said: "UKinbound is delighted that its members have taken the time to nominate their peers in recognition of the outstanding services they provide in the inbound tourism industry."
