Trafford Council confirms final play scheme sites
Trafford Council has confirmed the 13 remaining sites that are in line to benefit from new or improved play facilities as part of the government's Playbuilder initiative.
A total of 23 local play areas are set to benefit from a share of £1.1m as part of the two-year project, with the 13 second-year sites being chosen by a panel of representatives from Trafford's Play Partnership. Led by Trafford's Children and Young People's Service, the projects will be designed and delivered by staff in the council's prosperity, planning and development directorate following consultation with young people and communities.
The 13 second-year sites are Lostock Park, Lostock; Ashton Park, Ashton-on-Mersey; Walton Park, Sale; Victoria Park, Stretford; Stokoe Avenue Play Fields, Oldfield Brow, Altrincham; Abbotsfield Park, Urmston and Flixton Park, Flixton. Humphrey Lane, Urmston; Davyhulme Park, Davyhulme; Gorse Hill Park, Gorse Hill; Seymour Park, Old Trafford; Hornbeam Park, Sale West and Kelsall Park, Sale are also included.
