Tokyo hotel unveils Carju Rajah Tiado spa
Capitol Hotel Tokyu in Tokyo, Japan, has unveiled its new spa concept - Carju Rajah Tiado, which is designed to complement the hotel's 'core theme' of Japanese culture.
The name of the spa is derived from Latin, English, French and Oriental words that combine to translate as 'high value jubilation and rejuvenation'. Carju Rajah Tiado offers a range of Eastern and Western-inspired treatments, featuring both holistic and clinical therapies using original Pias Corporation brands to relax limbs, revive the skin and provide detox programmes.
Treatments include the Tuina massage - based on Oriental medicine using Japanese oils to treat swollen legs and stiff shoulders. A personal barber is also available. The spa complements the newly-opened Capitol Hotel Tokyu, which has been designed using traditional Japanese aesthetics by architect Kengo Kuma.
Located on the site of the former Tokyo Hilton Hotel, the property is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts and also offers a fitness facility, a 20m indoor pool and a whirlpool bath.
