TigerTurf endorses Power Brush
The Power Brush Company rounded off a highly successful 2004 with the news that TigerTurf has endorsed the company's machines as ideal for the planned maintenance of its latest Challenger artificial multi-use sports surface.
The endorsement was reinforced when the Westway Sports Centre purchased a Power Brush 1010 machine to maintain its full size pitch in west London, the first Challenger installation in the UK.
A self-propelled sweeper/scraper, the 1010 has the ability to lift the surface pile without damage and evenly distribute the rubber in-fill, thereby maintaining both the playing standard and the predictability of how a surface will play.
When fitted with an optional drop-through collector, it will additionally separate and remove unwanted debris such as leaves, twigs, moss and litter.
For prolonged use of the machine, a ride-on-seat attachment is available as an accessory. Other options include a side brush attachment, a yard scraper, a snow plough and a spray guard for when a collector is not being used.
Although a number of sports surface installation specialists have used and recommended Power Brush machines, the company is increasingly finding that groups specialising in restoration work are using them to reduce compaction and remove moss and weeds.
