Luxury resort and spa Velaa Private Island in the Maldives is welcoming back guests with a programme of visiting wellness practitioners to guide them on journeys of personal discovery.

To kickstart the 2021 series, Velaa is hosting holistic practitioner and director of Thailand’s Sukkasart Institute of Healing Arts, Buathon Thienarrom PhD.

Having worked with a network of celebrity clientele, Thienarrom will carry out bespoke consultations with guests to analyse the influence of body structure on an individual’s lifestyle, energy-enhancing sound vibration rituals and bespoke massages.

She has experience in the alternative medicine field and specialises in Taoism, sound healing, Tibetan medicine and mind training.

Thienarrom also has a background in nursing, psychology and health sociology, as well as spa management with brands such as Six Senses. Her approach to health and wellbeing is based on holistic practice and delivering integration of the mind, body and spirit.

Following extensive training, she went on to create her own unique approach to holistic healing named ‘ZenNaTai’, which encourages inner peace through releasing tension and generating chi flow in the body.

Thienarrom’s services will be available from 1-14 September 2021 and include her signature ZenNaTai Physical Tension Release & Abdominal Detox treatment.

Available for 60 or 90 minutes, this hands-on experience incorporates Thienarrom’s exclusive ZenNaTai holistic healing massage method designed to generate energy flow throughout the body.

She claims this treatment will help release chest, cranial and abdominal tension and stimulate lymphatic flow to support toxin release.

ZenNaTai is designed to induce a deeper state of relaxation and a peaceful mind.

Thienarrom says the ritual promotes better digestion, postural alignment and sleep quality; can restore harmony between the mind and body, relieve tension headaches and improve concentration.

She will also be offering a 75-minute Energy Healing & Tibetan Sound Therapy treatment, a four-person group mindfulness class and an Emotional Wellness & Mind training ritual, available for 60 or 90 minutes.

All sessions are designed to offer an insight into developing personal awareness and a guide to mindfulness that can be implemented in guests’ everyday lives.

The starting rate for treatments will be US$340 (€279, £240) for 60 mins per person.
