TiLEzone held in London
The annual TiLEzone event was held at the Transport Museum in Covent Garden, London on 25 February.
Organised by events company Andrich in partnership with UK Trde and Investment (UKTI), the show highlighted business opportunities available for UK companies abroad, as well as offered delegates an insight into issues concerning the operation of visitor attractions.
Sessions on the day included a presentation on sustainability by Blair Parkin, managing director of Visual Acuity; a talk on best practice in exhibition design by Event Communications founder Steve Simons; and a look at how to future proof visitor attractions, presented by Joe Martin, technical designer of London-based designers KCA.
Delegates were also presented with an update on current projects underway in a number of regions around the world, including Abu Dhabi; Henqqin Island, China; Hong Kong; Poland; Saudi Arabia; and Taiwan.
There was also a session by consultant Rosalind Johnson on "Millenials" – people born between 1980 and 2000 – and how it is important for attractions to cater for the technology-savvy group.
