The Grand Mayan Puerto Penasco launches, bordered by the Sea of Cortez
Developer and luxury resort owner Grupo Vidanta has launched a 60-suite property in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
Bordered by the Sea of Cortez, which is a tidal estuary and an inlet to the south, The Grand Mayan Puerto Penasco offers a number of leisure facilities, including the Brio Spa and fitness centre.
The Brio Spa comprises a sauna, steambath, whirlpool, cold plunge tub and a number of treatment rooms. Products used in treatments are by Pevonia, nail therapies are exclusively by OPI and there is a Kerastase beauty salon at the spa.
The fitness centre houses a gym, yoga room, pilates space and spinning studio.
Also at the resort, there is a nine-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course on a challenging two-mile peninsula.
There are two restaurants on-site, including a speciality barbecue dining venue and a casual poolside snack bar.
The Grand Mayan Puerto Penasco is Grupo Vidanta’s fifth resort in The Grand Mayan family. Sister resorts include The Grand Mayan Los Cabos, The Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta, The Grand Mayan Riviera Maya and The Grand Mayan Acapulco.
Grupo Vidanta is a full-service tourism developer in Mexico and Latin America. It has practices in property, architecture, product design, construction and operations. In total, the group has a portfolio of more than 25 hotels and resorts under brands including The Grand Mayan, Grand Luxxe, The Grand Bliss, The Bliss, Mayan Palace, Ocean Breeze and Sea Garden.
