The Cloisters launches after 20m euro revamp
The Cloisters Spa at the Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney, Ireland, has opened to the public following a 20m euro (£13.8m) investment in the hotel and spa revamp.
Gothic in style, the 10,000sq ft (930sq m) Cloisters Spa is situated on the edge of Killarney National Park and comprises 12 treatment rooms, a vitality pool, a herbal sauna, a salt grotto, an ice fountain, rasul, hamman, thermal loungers, a relaxation area, yoga rooms and an outdoor hot tub.
The exterior of the building was designed by O’Sullivan Campbell architects, while Atlam Design Partnership was responsible for the design of the spa.
The Cloisters Spa will also boast a separate area on the second level of the development called The Skin Clinic, offering non-surgical skin procedures such as medical microdermabrasion programmes and ultrasound body toning.
In the main spa, clients can choose from a variety of treatments including relaxing and restorative massages, detoxifying wraps, decongesting mineral therapies and anti-ageing facials using brands including Dr Perricone, Babor and VitaMan. Details: www.muckrosspark.com
