Technogym to supply 26 Glasgow gyms for three years
Fitness equipment supplier Technogym is to supply equipment to 26 sports and leisure facilities in Glasgow, UK.
Technogym has secured a three-year supply contract with Glasgow Life, which manages the centres city on behalf of Glasgow City Council.
As part of the deal Technogym will upgrade all Glasgow Life facilities with new equipment. The new installations will include equipment from the Visioweb – a digital platform for cardiovascular equipment – and Vario ranges, as well as a number of Kinesis stations.
Glasgow Life's managed centres include the recently opened £113m Emirates Arena and the Tolcross International Swimming Centre which is due to open in mid-2013. Tolcross will boast a gym with more than 100 pieces of equipment.
“With many exciting projects planned for the next three years we look forward to developing leading fitness facilities,” said Steve Barton, Technogym sales and marketing director Clubs Division.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment. Technogym was the official supplier for the past seven Olympic Games, from Sydney 2000 to PyeongChang 2018.
