Technogym signs London 2012 deal
London 2012 organisers have confirmed that Technogym will provide and install fitness equipment at the Athletes' Village and other training venues at the Games.
The company has been named as a Tier Three supplier to the Games, with more than 750 pieces of equipment due to be installed at several gyms within venues in addition to the main gym at the Athletes' Village. Technogym will also be responsible for the design and layout of gyms, while also providing maintenance and staff services as part of its role as Official Fitness Equipment Supplier.
London 2012 chair Sebastian Coe said: "The needs of athletes are always at the forefront of our thinking and so ensuring we have top of the range equipment available for their use is vital. "Technogym come to us with some fantastic previous Games-time experience and will help us to ensure that the needs of all competitors at London 2012 are met."
