Strata Partners takes a hold
Strata Partners – one of the biggest fitness operators in Russia – has opened two new clubs in Zelenograd, in the northern suburbs of Moscow, under its CityFitness brand.
The two CityFitness clubs, Strata Partners’ mass market brand, both opened on 25 April.
One of the new clubs, at 2,000sq m (21,528sq ft), is located in the mall in the centre of the city.
Facilities include a gym equipped by Gym 80 and Motus for resistance and CV kit respectively, three group exercise studios, a kids’ club, a treatment room, a solarium and a hammam. Almost 1,000 memberships were sold in pre-sale.
The other club has five indoor tennis courts in addition to its traditional fitness services.
It also offers a squash facility – the first in Zelenograd.
The tennis club will offer personal and group training sessions for adults, as well as a children’s tennis school.
Anastasia Yusina, Strata Partners CEO, says: “Tennis has become one of the most popular sports in Russia. Many parents dream of seeing their children become as famous as Safin or Sharapova.
We will be happy to help.” Strata Partners will open at least four more CityFitness clubs in 2008: two in Moscow, one in St. Petersburg and one in Novokuznetsk (Siberia).
