Strata Partners opens 25th health club
Russian fitness chain Strata Partners is set to launch its 25th health club, a US$3m (£1.6m, 2.28m euro) Orange Fitness-branded site in Moscow, this month.
The 1,500sq m (16,146sq ft) club has been built in a new city centre residential complex called Novaya Ostozhenka, constructed by real estate company the Don Stroy Group.
It will be the 10th new Strata Partners site to open this year.
The club features a gym with Life Fitness CV equipment and resistance machines from Gym 80, a swimming pool and hydro-massage pool, a group exercise studio, a beauty spa/salon, a solarium, a massage room, a kids’ club and a bar.
The facility can cater for up to 2,000 members and membership costs more than US$3,000 (£1,604, 2,280 euro) a year.
Anastasia Yusina, CEO of Strata Partners, said: “The location, unique layout and design of this club offers a strong benefit for our customers. Premium class fitness clubs are much in demand in this area.”
Orange Fitness was launched in 2002 and there are now 13 centres. As well as five clubs in Moscow, locations include St Petersburg, Krasnodar, Ivanovo, Kursk, Ufa, Kaliningrad and Rostov-on-Don.
Strata also runs the City Fitness brand, which operates 12 clubs in Moscow and the surrounding area.
By 2010, Strata plans to increase its portfolio to 60 clubs across Russia and the former USSR, helped in part, by the sale of 49 per cent of its shares to Belgian investment fund GIMV in February.
