Steel City Challenge
Sheffield's big names in health and fitness will go head to head this summer in the Steel City Challenge.
In aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, members from nine health and fitness clubs will compete against each other in a range of team and individual challenges.
The challenge - to be held on July 14, is sponsored by sports equipment manufacturer Life Fitness, Lucozade, local signage company Sign Language and printers B&B Press. To take part each competitor has to attract sponsorship of at least £25.
'This is the first time that a competition of this scope has been organised in Sheffield,' said Caroline Olive of Concord Sports. 'We are hoping that all competitors will attract as much sponsorship as they can for this very worthy cause.'
Concord Sports Centre is part of Sheffield International Venues (SIV); established to manage the properties of The Sheffield City Trust.
