Starwood Hotels to debut Four Points in Peru
Starwood Hotels has announced the debut of its new Four Points by Sheraton in Lima, Peru.
The 134-room hotel will be located in the Miraflores district in Lima - a business district known for its gardens, parks, fountains, high-end shops restaurant and entertainment.
In addition to the rooms which come with bathrooms and walk in showers, the Sheraton Miraflores will feature a fully-equipped, 600sq ft (55sq m) fitness centre, free Wi-Fi in all rooms, a 3,000sq ft (279sqm) meeting and event space, restaurant and lobby bar.
The hotel will be run under ownership of Top Rank Group and is being managed by Interamerican Promo Hotels.
Starwood's expansion plan in Peru is being driven by its strong economic growth and a large tourism industry. The hotel chain has already made its presence felt in the country with six properties under the Luxury Collection, Westin and Sheraton brands.
Four Points is a brand that has been seen across South America, with 13 Four Points by Sheraton hotels positioned in key countries throughout the continent.
These include locations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Uruguay with new locations set for Mexico and Colombia in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
