SportsAid appoints new London chair
SportsAid, the registered charity that provides young athletes with funding, has appointed a new chair for its London region.
Bob Gullett, who is a director at Newton Investment Management, represented the US in the 1978 Half-Ton World Sailing Championships and in 2003 broke the record for rowing across the English Channel in a single scull with British Olympic silver medallist Guin Batten.
“I am extremely excited to join SportsAid and get involved in the work that the charity is doing in London,” said Gullett. “There is great potential within the region and I hope I can bring a refreshing insight to take things forward in the next year.
“London has many young talented sportsmen and women that I look forward to working with, as well as promoting their achievements to the rest of the public.”
