Fresh site, revamped magazine, welcome to the new Sports Management
Welcome to the new-look Sports Management, the first and only place for all the latest industry news and analysis of the burning issues in our sector.
Our print magazine is now coming to you fortnightly to mirror the sheer pace of developments in the industry, bringing you a mix of news, analysis and more in-depth pieces, while our freshly-designed website will keep you up to speed with all the breaking stories on a daily basis.
Over the coming months we’ll continue to keep you abreast of what’s happening in the world of sports facilities, governance, policy and coaching – as well as picking through the bones of the recently-published government sports strategy Sporting Future – and much more.
The latest edition of the magazine features an in-depth interview with Sport England chief executive Jennie Price, the story behind Olympique Lyonnais' €450m (US$490m, £347m) stadium and the exploration of Disney's move into marathon hosting.
“We work in a fast-paced changing environment so having more regular news and updates is important for all of us who look forward to receiving the magazine in whichever format,” said Sports Think Tank director and former Loughborough MP Andy Reed.
“Sports Management has always been a great source of news, and more in-depth analysis. It will be good for the sector to have this fortnightly now.”
Populous’ Geraint John, the first Briton to be awarded the Pierre de Coubertin medal by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), added: “The sports industry is becoming a truly global family – at all levels, from building pitches to creating iconic stadia – and Sports Management will have a role to play due to its international readership.
“I use Sports Management as a resource for news and projects and it’s exciting to hear that it is going to be published more frequently.”
We value the opinions of our readers, so any feedback on the content and design of the magazine and website may help us shape things going forward. Share your thoughts by emailing: [email protected]
