Sporta’s AGM a success
Sporta held a very successful tenth AGM on 11 May at the Dalmahoy Hotel in Edinburgh.
There were 44 individual trusts represented from the 62 Sporta members who attended. Together with our sponsoring partners and invited guests, a total of 82 attended the AGM.
A big vote of thanks goes to Claire Elkin from Leisure Net who organised the logistics of the meeting. Thanks also goes to the main speakers, Craig McAteer and Phil Rumbelow, who gave presentations on the TAES process and the London Fitness Network Initiative.
The meeting was also an opportunity to say goodbye to chair Rick Durrant and vice chair Peter Kay who were standing down from the executive committee of Sporta.
Durrant and Kay were praised for their commitment over the years to their roles and both were presented with a gift from the membership for their services to Sporta.
John O’Neill of Cadsart and Jon Argent of Halo were voted in as chair and vice chair respectively.
There was also a Golf Competition for 32 competitors, sponsored by Nautilus. Steve Carter and his team of Alex and Darren were thanked by Mike McCardle on behalf of Sporta and the competitors, who enjoyed an excellent day of golf.
