The Southbank Centre is to host a number of projects next summer as part of the London 2012 Festival, which will mark the culmination of the Cultural Olympiad.
Hundreds of artists and performers from across the world are expected to feature at the 21-acre (8.5-hectare) riverside location for its 2012 Festival of the World.
Among the London 2012 Festival highlights scheduled for the Southbank Centre will be a poetry festival incorporating poets from each of the 2014 competing Olympic nations.
A Room for London, a one-bedroom installation in the form of a riverboat on top of Queen Elizabeth Hall and a four-day Sounds Venezuela residency are also planned.
Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival director Ruth Mackenzie said: "We are proud to be working in partnership with Southbank Centre on world-class commissions for the London 2012 Festival."
