Events have been held at the Live Sites in Plymouth and Bristol as part of a dance and film scheme - On Your Marks - that has been produced for the Cultural Olympiad.

Olympic diver Tom Daley is one of the elite athletes to be filmed as part of the project, which has seen events feature live dancers performing in front of the specially-commissioned film. A third event is due to be held at Swindon's Big Screen on Wharf Green on 26 September, with Arts Council England working in partnership with Dance South West and the BBC to produce the pieces.

Choreographer Jules Laville devised a dance piece to be performed by six professional dancers and a dance youth group alongside the film - produced by Peter Anderson. ACE South West director Phil Gibby said: "By drawing their inspiration from the sporting elite and from the locations in which they take place, these performances appeal to all sorts of people, helping us to make great art available for everyone."
