Second successful year for SIBEC Asia
The number of delegates that attended SIBEC Asia was up this year, reflecting the growth in the Asian health and fitness industry.
The organisers, Pelican Events, hosted 120 delegates from the health, fitness and spa industry from over 20 countries at the Mutiara Beach Resort in Penang, Malaysia.
As well as a forum for suppliers and buyers to have face to face meetings with each other, SIBEC Asia also featured a conference. Speakers included Raoul Andrews Sudre of Aspen Spa Management, Tomer Rothschild of CSI - Bally Total Fitness and PR and marketing guru Catherine Chon. The panel discussion on the last day debated the state of the Asian health and fitness industry, with representatives from Clark Hatch, Fitness First Asia and New Life Resources.
Commenting on his experience of SIBEC Asia, buyer delegate Giles Clarke of SPORTathlon said:
'SIBEC Asia was a great forum for many succinct but productive discussions in a formal but relaxed atmosphere with both existing and potentially new suppliers in the fitness industry.'
Next year, SIBEC Asia will take place 26 - 28 February in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
