Second Angsana Spa for Sri Lanka
The Banyan Tree group has opened its second Angsana Spa in Sri Lanka.
Called Angsana City Club and Spa Crescat City, the spa follows the July 2004 opening of the Angsana Spa Deer Park and Hotel in Giritale.
Covering 5,060sq ft (470sq m), the Angsana day spa boasts seven single treatment rooms and four signature double treatment rooms.
The spa also has a roof deck swimming pool, tennis courts set in a landscaped garden and a gym.
A range of Ayurvedic treatments have also been developed, which are unique to the spa. They combine Ayurvedic massage, ancient Shirodhara, Indian head massage and a herbal body polish.
Another treatment menu highlight is the Yoga Massage, which aims to restore wellbeing through deep breathing meditation and yoga movements designed to stretch and loosen muscles.
All Angsana spa products are freshly prepared from natural ingredients such as fruits and flowers. Even the essential oils and massage oils used are specially blended by the spa.
Elsewhere, Banyan Tree has also recently opened its fourth spa in Dubai at Emirates Hills Town Centre on 15 September and announced partnerships to manage three new resorts and three independent new spas. These are in Karnataka, Kerala and Gurgaon, all in India, alongside an Angsana Spa at Bunratty Castle Hotel in Ireland , an Angsana Spa at Royal Pines Resort on Australia’s Gold Coast and an Angsana Spa at Sofitel Fizi Tianmu Lake in Jiangsu, China.
