Scone Palace to feature in new television series
Scone Palace is just one of the historic buildings to feature in a new series on UKTV hosted by Alan Titchmarsh.
Britain’s Best finds Titchmarsh looking for Britain’s best historic site and inviting the nation to really get involved and become part of the project.
The multi-layered event will run across much of 2007, incorporating a brand new television series, interactive TV and a massive online presence.
A website, www.uktvhistory.co.uk will have exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ clips of some of Britain’s most interesting locations as well as content provided by the viewers themselves; who will be able to upload audio and video clips, images and their own comments on what really makes a great day out in Britain.
The television series will transmit in April with five programmes introducing 25 of the best places – as chosen by UKTV History.
Each programme will be themed, covering castles, palaces, religious buildings, historic houses and gardens.
The series will take a look at some of the most historic and fascinating sites across Britain; investigating the past of these amazing locations, uncovering some little known facts and providing a wonderful insight into our heritage.
