STA lands exclusive training deal with Sporta
Aquatics training body STA has secured a 12-month partnership with The Sports and Recreation Trusts Association (Sporta) – representing leisure and cultural trusts – which sees STA become the organisation’s preferred aquatic training supplier.
The relationship gives STA the opportunity to deliver products and services to leisure trusts and share its experience of methods to achieve cost saving.
STA already works successfully with several Sporta members, including Sencio, Tempus Leisure, and Link4Life, having them to increase income and achieve cost reductions as a result of implementing STA’s swimming teacher training scheme.
STA operations director Theo Millward said: “With our experience of working with leisure trusts and authorities, and our years of working successfully with our STA Swim Academies, we feel we can add real value to Sporta members; and in turn raise standards and give more people the opportunity to learn how to swim and enjoy life-long aquatic activities.”
The news marks a busy week for the aquatics training sector, coming just days after it was announced that CIMSPA has formed a new partnership with aquatics bodies the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL) and the Institute of Swimming (IoS) to deliver its pool plant operator qualifications.
