Youth fitness brand SHOKK will open its first dedicated youth fitness facility and training academy in China this May.
By teaming up with Chinese marketing company Brandworks, SHOKK has launched SHOKK Asia to expand the brand throughout the region, with three further sites already identified.
Forming part of a purpose-built leisure complex in Guangzhou, designed specifically for young people aged eight to 18, The SHOKK Centre will occupy more than 370sq m (4,000sq ft) and offer 150 pieces of SHOKK cardiovascular and resistance equipment, three studio areas and a sports zone.
Kieren Murphy, marketing director for SHOKK, says: “A presence in Asia is a real step forward for the company. Internationally, things are really moving forward quickly.
“So far, the brand has experienced recent success in Germany, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands. In addition, plans and partners are in place to secure deals in Australasia, India and the US within the first quarter of 2007.”
