The Revolution Bars Group is preparing to establish several new locations across the UK as it continues to experience increased sales.

Bars in Inverness, Solihull and South London are expected to be opened in late-2017, while Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Birmingham will have their own Revolution venues by the end of 2018.

The Group currently trades from 68 sites, 54 under the Revolution format and 14 under the Revolución de Cuba format.

Over the past year, six new bars have been opened, with Revolution bars in Southend and Torquay, and bars branded Revolución de Cuba launched in Harrogate, Reading, Aberdeen and Glasgow.

A new pre-close trading update for the period between 2 July 2016 and 1 July 2017 was released by the group, in which they have reported a total sales increase of 9.2 per cent to £130.4m, compared to last years' £119.5m.

Sales dipped following terrorist attacks in London and Manchester. Revolution operates 15 venues across Manchester, Liverpool and London, which experienced sales declines in the immediate aftermath. However, there has been a strengthening of sales over the last six weeks, up by 2.7 per cent.

“The directors remain confident of the current strategy, the underlying strength of the business, its brands and the strong customer proposition, which has resulted in over three years of consistent like-for-like growth,” said the trading update.
