Revenue up at Powerleague
Five-a-side football operator Powerleague has reported an increase in revenue for the first 21 weeks of the financial year.
At the company's AGM, chair Claude Littner said margins had "remained stable" despite the downturn.
He said: "Total revenues are up significantly on last year and we are benefiting from the recent reductions in interest rates with a significant element of our debt linked to the base rate."
Littner also said the integration of the five SoccerDome centres that it acquired from JJB in February 2008 was to progressing well.
"Each SoccerDome centre has benefited from the introduction of our systems and a more focused and pro-active sales and marketing approach. Our autumn marketing campaign has yielded good returns and we are seeing improved levels of bookings at these centres."
Powerleague currently operates 45 five-a-side football centres around the UK.
