Red Sea Global’s pearl-inspired Shebara resort opening this month, promising ‘escape into nature and wellness’

Reservations are now open for stays at Shebara – a hyper-luxury resort and nature-inspired spa opening in Saudi Arabia this month as part of the ambitious Red Sea regenerative tourism project.
The launch will mark the debut destination wholly owned and operated by project developer Red Sea Global (RSG) and the fourth to open within The Red Sea development.
Shebara’s concept combines luxury, sustainability and innovation and its architecture is intended to harmonise innovative design with the natural environment.
Described as a haven for nature lovers, the resort is situated in a serene oceanfront setting complete with mangroves, desert flora, pristine beaches and coral flats, all of which host a diverse ecosystem of wildlife.
The secluded destination, crafted by Killa Design, will open with 73 beachfront accommodations divided between sand dune-inspired villas on land and overwater villas designed to evoke a string of pearls. Each futuristic pod will consist of a stainless-steel orb that reflects the colours and patterns of the ocean and sky, with plush interiors inspired by luxury yachts.
Wellness will be a key component of Shebara's offering and its spa will provide luxurious treatments by Amra Skincare and Dr. Burgener Switzerland in five treatment rooms – including a couple’s suite – in addition to an outdoor treatment cabana.
Guests will have access to an outdoor vitality pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steamroom and a dedicated relaxation area.
Separate men’s and women’s facilities will also be on offer, each equipped with Jacuzzis, saunas, steamrooms, ice chip stations and experience showers.
The resort’s extensive wellness offerings will be rounded out by a 24/7 Technogym fitness centre, yoga pavilion, barbershop, hair and nail salon, retail boutique and outdoor tennis and padel courts.
Lindsay Madden-Nadeau, RSG senior director of wellness strategy, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of our first hospitality asset, operated by Red Sea Global Hospitality in November.
“This remarkable project showcases architecture that pushes the boundaries of innovation, aligning with our commitment to delivering extraordinary experiences. We look forward to welcoming guests and adding this exceptional asset to our growing portfolio.”
Supported by a solar farm, Shebara is designed for year-round enjoyment.
Located 25 kilometres from the mainland, the resort will be able to be reached by a 30/40-minute boat ride or a 30-minute seaplane flight from Red Sea International Airport. RSG says this relative isolation will make Shebara a sanctuary for those seeking an 'extraordinary escape into nature and wellness'.
