Rave & Ride charity fitness event targets double world record
A mass-scale indoor cycle event at one of Europe’s premier country clubs is aiming to break two Guinness World Records in the name of charity.
Rave & Ride – which stages major indoor cycling festivals to raise money for MND Association – has already signed up 1,000 participants for the 14 May event at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire.
Rave & Ride founder Steven Smith, who lost his mother Genifer to MND, hopes to raise more than £100,000 on the day, which would be a world record. They also hope to make history with record participation numbers for an hour-long team indoor cycling event.
The day will also see the official launch of the new Star Trac Studio Series of indoor cycles from Core Health & Fitness. The new Studio 3, 5 and 7 will complement the company’s existing line of Schwinn indoor cycles.
John Gamble, managing director of Core Health & Fitness, said: “We are so pleased to be able to support such a worthy cause. Steven is passionate about the charity and we are delighted to be on board.”
