Race is on to find London's fittest gym
Health clubs across the capital are to pitch themselves against each other to find the fittest gym in London.
Registration gets underway this month for the Shelter City Health Club Games, which takes place from 4-10 October and culminates in an awards ceremony at the end of the month.
Sponsored by Oracles, the games will raise money for Shelter, the UK’s leading housing charity.
Health clubs already signed up for the Games include One Aldwych, Bannatyne Health Club, Cannons, Champneys, Fitness First, Holmes Place, LA Fitness, Livingwell, The Third Space, Virgin Active and Vision Fitness.
Events include rowing, running, squash, swimming and golf.
Participants can enter up to twelve events or take on the challenge of the Supathon – six gym-based events, including a 5km bike ride, rowing, push ups and a mile-long run. Details: +44 (0)1372 749 530 or www.thefixuk.com
