RTKL unveils tower building for Dubai
Architects RTKL have unveiled plans for a new hotel and residential building in Dubai.
Capital Towers, the 90,000sq m project being designed for Capital Investments will be situated adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Centre on the Sheikh Zayed Road and will feature a blue glass skin which wraps around the two separate towers of the development.
The first tower, at 35 storeys, will include a 160-room, five-star hotel as well as 60 serviced apartments. The second tower, at 40 storeys, will contain 260 private residential luxury apartments.
A four-storey glass covered courtyard will connect the two towers and will include cafés, restaurants and retail outlets.
Facilities at the hotel will include five food and beverage outlets, a health club and spa and an open-air leisure deck with an ‘infinity pool’. An operator for the hotel is currently being sought.
Piling contractors are already on site and the scheme, being managed by Dubai-based Roya International, is expected to be completed by the end of 2005. Details: www.rtkl.com
