RBKC launches Earls Court consultation
The future of the Earls Court Exhibition Centres in London, is to come under the microscope as part of a new consultation being led by the local authority.
Local residents are being asked to have their say to help guide a new planning framework for the area, which is being created by Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). RBKC is working alongside Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the London mayor to develop the Supplementary Planning Document to take into account various issues.
It comes as the company that owns the Exhibition Centres, the Empress State Building and Seagrave Road car park revealed that it aims to redevelop the area after the 2012 Olympics. A RBKC spokesperson said: "A draft of the planning framework will be published for consultation in the New Year, but the boroughs and Mayor of London want local residents, businesses and visitors to have their say at this early stage."
The council is asking for residents to complete a questionnaire before 29 October.
