Pure Gym to open two Midlands clubs
Low-cost health club chain Pure Gym has announced plans to open new locations in West Bromwich (31 May) and Walsall (19 June) as part of its UK ongoing expansion strategy.
In February, the operator - launched in 2009 - said it was continuing to pursue its nationwide roll-out, with plans currently in place for more than 20 new locations by the end of the year to take its portfolio to 45 clubs.
Both of the new Midlands locations will contain 220 pieces of equipment, which include the LIVESTRONG spin bikes by Matrix; vibrating Bodycore platforms; and Power Plates.
The 22,500sq ft (2,090sq m) West Bromwich club and the 14,000sq ft (1,301sq m) Walsall facility will each also provide a full timetable containing 40 fitness classes per week.
Pure Gym chief executive Peter Roberts said: "We are revolutionising the fitness industry and in doing so we are removing the main barriers to membership, which include a lack of time, high membership fees and fixed term contracts."
