Preidlhof reopens in Italy with refreshed wellness offering and spa updates
Italian destination spa Preidlhof in South Tyrol is welcoming back guests with new retreats, signature rituals, specialist therapists and freshly renovated spa areas.
Preidlhof has reopened following a COVID-19 lockdown and now offers 12 transformational retreats to stimulate guests physically, energetically, spiritually, psychologically, socially and emotionally.
A highlight includes the new five-day Energy Healing for Two Retreat where individual healing experiences are combined with sessions to be shared as a couple, with a close friend or family member.
Guests are invited to harmonise individual energies to create new communal energy which is lighter, more playful and more aware.
Within this programme, treatments designed to empower guests with greater self-awareness are combined with massages and sensory training, alongside time to rest and reconnect with nature. The package starts at €1,991 (£1,714, US$2,423).
Guiding guests in their journey of discovery is Preidlhof’s spa director and industry figure Patrizia Bortolin, who is assisted by the spa’s dynamic team of healers.
Further retreats include experiences in self-awareness, transformation of sleep quality and movement, the attainment of a happier and more creative life through colour, sensuality, trauma healing and ancient healing methods.
Restyling public spaces
The update has also added a new Mediterranean Pool to Preildhof’s 5,000sq m wellness facility, which can be discovered by swimming through a cave that connects to the central pool.
This new area is completed with comfortable chaise longues and four private whirlpools.
In addition, Preidlhof spa’s connecting corridors and the area reserved for treatments have undergone restyling.
According to Bortolin, the inspiration for the refresh lies in Preidlhof’s signature philosophy – The Preidlhof Way – which embraces hedonic and eudaimonic concepts to ‘complete the full definition of wellbeing’.
The philosophy distinguishes the resort and is reflected in the refreshed spaces through new furnishings, neutral tones, lighting fixtures and the clever use of natural daylight.
Preidlhof has also begun infusing the spa with diffused aromatic herbs to create a 360-degree wellness experience.
New team membersAlongside Bortolin, Preidlhof’s existing spa team includes internationally renowned therapists Stefano Battaglia and Martin Kirchler, plus its in-house doctor Dr Alexander Angerer who specialises in complementary medicine and oversees and integrates all experiences.
The group has recently been expanded with two new internationally renowned experts:
- Shiatsu Master Andrea Martinelli – a specialist in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong and educational sciences
- Norma Jean Botticelli – a psychologist who’ll guide guests through an individual training programme embracing a 360° approach to mental, physical and emotional wellbeing, including functional training, GAG, core stability, muscle relaxation, yoga Nidra and laughter yoga, walks in nature with breathwork and Kneipp.
Psychologists, mindfulness trainers, yoga teachers, transformational coaches, qualified holistic masseurs and beauty therapists complete the line-up.
