Pleasurewood Hills invests £3.5m in park
Suffolk Coast theme park Pleasurewood Hills has announced four new rides have opened as part of its 2013 season, as part of a £3.5m investment in the attraction.
The refurbishment sees the return of pedalos to Pleasurewood Lake, a family teacup ride at Woodies Tea Party, and the Moby Dick ride. Thrill ride Hobs Pit will open soon.
Nine new rides have now opened at the theme park since it was bought in 2011 by Looping Holding Group, including 40m tower drop The Jolly Roger and the Illusionist Magic Show featuring Britain's Got Talent Star Sean Alexander.
General manager Alexis Camelin said: "It's been my goal since being appointed here two to three years ago, to return Pleasurewood Hills to a Theme Park that's as good as it was in its hey day.
"With the investment into new rides and lots of tins of paint, I believe we've achieved just that and more for 2013."
The 50-acre park is located near Great Yarmouth and was established in 1983.
