The planning application, which is due to go to the district council in July includes plans for a new sports hair, fitness suite and dance studio.
The scheme has been drawn up by Kent County Council with the Department for Education and would be developed by Willmott Dixon Construction.
Sponsored by Canterbury Christ Church University, the acedamy will house facilities for football, rugby, basketball, table tennis, cricket, athletics, rounders and trampolining.
