Places available for RA Golf Society’s autumn golf day
Tickets are now available for the Restaurant Association Golf Society’s 2005 Autumn Golf Day.
This year’s event will once again incorporate the British Hospitality Association’s (BHA) Bessborough Trophy, which, for a number of years, has been competed for by teams of golfers from restaurants, hotels, clubs and wine suppliers.
The competition will be held at The Oxfordshire Golf Club at Milton Common, near Thame in Oxon on Monday 26 September.
Last year’s competition at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey was a close fought affair, with Captain Bob Walton restaurateurs’ team victorious in the fight for the Bessborough Trophy.
Six Restaurant Association golf members will comprise the team of restaurateurs but the day is open to any member of the Restaurant Association or their guests and as usual will be a normal Stableford competition off a maximum handicap of 28 for men and 36 for ladies. There will also be nearest the pin and longest drive prizes.
Individual winners in 2004 included associate member Tony Sidebottom and Pauline Baldwin of Baldwin’s Omega.
The price for the day is £95 including VAT, golf and meals.
