In-home Personal training brand GymGuyz has entered the UK market after selling its first two franchise locations.

The US-based operator, which currently has 230 franchises across 29 states, has signed up franchisees based in Brighton and Kingston upon Thames.

Offering a 'low-cost' franchise ownership model, the brand offers a mobile personal training service, delivering exercise at customers' homes.

GymGuyz is looking to benefit from a boom in at-home training over recent months, brought on by the pandemic.

"We're hoping to take a firm foothold in the market and with the vast number of enquiries we are having, we’re looking forward to continuing our journey across the country,” said UK managing director Laike Mantori.

"We see a growth in the popularity of people training outside and at home.

"Our USP is to take away the need to be in a gym environment, bring the equipment and provide the flexibility of training whenever and wherever clients want.

"Following the success we’ve experienced in the US, we’re confident that we'll provide a compelling alternative to traditional fitness franchises, backed by our unique model.”

Founder, Josh York added: "GymGuyz was founded at the height of the 2008 economic crisis with a goal to create the fitness industry's solution for an 'Amazon-style' concept centered around convenience by bringing the gym to the consumer.

"Now, amid this pandemic, the brand has once again seen amazing growth despite facing the challenges of an unstable economy."

In the first half of 2020, GymGuyz has signed a total of 17 new franchise deals in the US.
