P*werSport acquires makers of Powerjog

P*werSport International is to become Europe's third largest fitness solution provider having acquired the assets of Sport Engineering Ltd - makers of the running machine brand, Powerjog.

P*werSport, part of Hawtin PLC, and Powerjog will continue to trade under their separate brand names but Paul Slevin, managing director of P*werSport, will assume control of both companies, while Andrew Stevenson, director of Powerjog, will become sales and marketing director.

Mr Slevin commented, 'Our combined resources backed by major investment in customer service provision will see P*werSport International launching a new generation of fitness solutions onto world markets over coming months.'

Both companies will maintain their existing manufacturing facilities; P*werSport in Bridgend, South Wales and Powerjog in Birmingham.
